## Ingredients
- 3-4 28oz cans of tomatoes, crushed (preferably san marzino, or plum)
- Olive Oil
- Basil (2/3 leaves fresh, 1 teaspoon dried)
- Chopped Parsley (Fresh Italian/Flat)
- Salt
- Crushed Red Pepper
- Sugar
- Bay Leaves
- Garlic (3 cloves)
- 1 medium yellow onion (optional)
## Steps
1. Saute onion first
2. Saute garlic
3. Add tomatoes to sauce pot
4. Add Basil and Parsley
5. Add a few granules of crushed red pepper
6. Bring to a boil
7. Simmer for at least an hour, until it's thick
- If cooking meatballs, will could take up to 2.5 hours to thicken
## Reheating
Reheat small amounts in microwave- large amounts in sauce pot on stove.
